Denver, Colorado Opens “Pot Palladium” The First Marijuana Friendly Movie Theater

News 8 – The management of Denver’s Zebulon Pike 16 Movie Complex announced in September that they will be turning one of their 16 movie theaters into a marijuana friendly smoking theater. After a long delay and many setbacks later, they are finally moving forward with the deal.

Lance Swanee, 29, who manages the movie complex said that the movie theater owners decided on the change after receiving over 6000 requests for a movie theater where smoking pot would be allowed. “Although Colorado is a marijuana friendly state, we had difficulty getting approval for this venue,” said Swanee. “But finally, after 1 year of negotiations we are set to move forward with the first marijuana friendly movie theater in the United States. I just hope no one falls asleep during the movies and starts snoring.”

Mr. Swanee stated that all of the movies shown in Theater #13 will be R-rated and adult themed. The concession stand will be stocked with the regular hot dogs, popcorn, candies and nachos. However, due to the opening of the new cannabis theater, they will also be selling pizzas and Hostess Twinkies.

According to Swanee, Theater 13, now known as the Pot Palladium, will open up their cannabis cinema February 15, 2016.
